About JOANNE HADLOCK, Ed.D. NCCC

Dr. Hadlock is a Counseling Psychologist, coach and facilitator, who has over 25 years experience working with individuals and groups, facilitating life and career transitions, and providing consultation to professionals as they adapt to major organizational change, and attain their personal and professional goals.

As a nationally certified Career Consultant,  Dr. Hadlock provides performance consulting and career assessments for a broad range of clients, from those beginning their professional life, to senior level management  in diverse industries and work environments, who seek to reevaluate their professional direction or hone leadership skills. She has expertise in the most relevant inventories used to assess personal and workplace dynamics, and to assist individuals in career and professional transition.

Dr. Hadlock has provided national consultation on the design and utilization of career assessment tools and has developed and directed comprehensive career development centers at several academic institutions. She maintains a private practice in West Suburban Boston, focusing on career transition management and personal and professional coaching. After receiving her doctorate in psychology from Northeastern University, Dr. Hadlock directed the clinical training program at Northeastern University's Center for Career and Personal Development. Joanne has also served as an adjunct faculty at Northeastern University, teaching graduate courses in career and adult development. While at Northeastern she designed and facilitated popular professional training programs for staff and administrators focused on developing enhanced communication skills, resolving conflict and managing stress.

Dr. Hadlock received professional coach training through the MentorCoach Program. She has also obtained advanced training from the Gestalt Institute of New England, and in-depth hypnosis and addictive process training through McClean hospital's professional development programs. She is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), National Career Development Association (NCDA), International Association of Career Management Professionals (IACMP) and the Center for Applied Psychological Type (CAPT).

PERSONAL BACKGROUND

Joanne lives in Lincoln, MA, with her husband of 37 yrs., Charles, a college professor. She has two adult children and seven "wonderful" grandchildren. In addition to her professional activities, Joanne loves to cook (especially for large groups of people), travel, play tennis, read and bargain hunt.
